Cash for gold a new TV show
When I saw a commercial of a new TV show Cash for gold on Channel Four I thought that it would be just another boring quiz for old people. But when it turned out that the host of the programme is Jack McDougall I decided to give it a chance. It could be engaging at best and boring or frustrating at worst. But I didn't have to force myself to watch it to the end as it proved to be an interesting and challenging show. The rules are simple, the contestants have to reply to a bunch of really tough, multiple-choice questions, and for good answers they receive silver and gold points. After each round the contestants are given cash for gold points and the silver points can be exchanged for lifelines such as Ask the Expert or Switch the Question. If you don't know the answer you can resign taking the money you've collected during the game. To win the game you have to answer the biggest number of questions in the final clash between two finalists. The winner gets all the cash for gold points that he or she gathered during the whole programme. Sometimes they really play high as the prize can rise up to million pounds. That's why, after I first saw the show, I started to think of taking part in it but I've heard that the eliminations are really difficult, so I have to spent some time to prepare myself a bit.
